Terms of Service for Vaura
Last updated:
Welcome to Vaura, an AI operating layer for Android developed by Codez Studios. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vaura app and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using Vaura, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What Vaura Does
Vaura lets you control and interact with your Android device using natural voice or text commands, powered by Google's Gemini AI. Depending on what you ask, Vaura may open apps, adjust device settings, take notes, prefill a WhatsApp message, or perform similar on-device actions on your behalf. Vaura is provided free of charge, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using Vaura, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Vaura.
3. Accounts
Some features may require signing in with Google or an email and password via Firebase Authentication. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity that happens through your account. You represent that any registration information you provide is accurate and that you meet the minimum age required to use Vaura in your jurisdiction.
4. AI-Generated Actions & Content
Vaura uses AI to interpret your requests and decide which action to take (e.g. which app to open, what settings to change, what message to draft). AI responses and actions can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or not what you intended. You're responsible for reviewing any action before it takes effect where Vaura gives you the chance to (such as a pre-filled message before you hit send), and for the consequences of actions you ask Vaura to carry out on your device.
5. Permissions
Certain features (camera, microphone, storage/photos, installing app updates, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi control, and similar) require Android permissions. Vaura only requests a permission when a feature you're using needs it, and you can grant or revoke these at any time from your device's Settings. Declining a permission may mean the related feature isn't available.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Vaura for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation or security of the app or the services it connects to.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access Vaura or its update/backend services outside normal app usage.
- Use Vaura to harass, defraud, or send unsolicited messages to others (for example, via the WhatsApp message feature).
7. Third-Party Services
Vaura relies on third-party services — including Google's Gemini API, Firebase (Authentication and Analytics), Google Sign-In, and WhatsApp (via standard wa.me links) — to provide its features. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the relevant third party's own terms.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Vaura is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Codez Studios does not guarantee that the app or any AI-generated action or response will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codez Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Vaura, including from actions taken on your device based on Vaura's interpretation of your request.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page, and continued use of Vaura after such changes means you accept the updated Terms.
